Slime Soirée is committed to providing a professional and child-conscious party experience. The business operator holds the Working With Children Check number listed above.

1. Booking and deposit

A booking is not secured until Slime Soirée has received the required 50% deposit and confirmed the requested date and time in writing.

The deposit may be calculated using an estimated guest number, subject to the following minimum booking requirements:

• Package 1: minimum 15 children.
• Package 2: minimum 15 children.
• Package 3: minimum 10 children.

The deposit reserves the agreed date and time and is applied toward the total party price.

2. Final guest numbers and remaining balance

Final guest numbers must be confirmed no later than 7 days before the party. The remaining balance is also due in full 7 days before the party.

Once final numbers are confirmed, reductions in attendance, non-attendance, illness, late arrivals or children choosing not to participate do not automatically entitle the client to a refund or price reduction, subject to rights that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

Additional guests accepted after final numbers are confirmed are subject to availability of materials and must be paid for at the applicable per-child rate.

3. Cancellations, date changes and credits

More than 14 days before the event: amounts already paid are not refunded for a change of mind. At Slime Soirée’s discretion, the amount paid may instead be transferred once to a new available date or applied as credit toward Slime Soirée DIY slime kits.

Between 14 days and 48 hours before the event: date changes are subject to availability and our ability to accommodate the change. Costs already incurred or committed for the booking may be deducted from any credit offered.

Less than 48 hours before the event: the full party price is payable and amounts paid may be retained to cover the reserved booking time, staffing, preparation, materials and other costs associated with the event.

Any transferred booking or slime-kit credit is subject to availability, current pricing and any reasonable additional costs associated with the replacement booking or products.

Nothing in this clause limits rights available under Australian Consumer Law where a consumer guarantee applies.

4. Table and setup requirements

Slime Soirée is a mobile slime party experience. The client is responsible for providing a suitable table for the slime station at the party venue.

The table must be set up and ready with a tablecloth before our arrival so our team can begin setting up promptly.

Slime Soirée provides the items required to run the booked slime experience, including:

• Slime ingredients and materials
• Bowls and spoons
• Slime containers
• Equipment required for the selected package
• Slime Soirée banner
• Take-home party bags

Unless specifically agreed otherwise in writing, Slime Soirée does not provide tables or tablecloths.

5. Decorations, balloons and event styling

Our booking price covers the Slime Soirée slime station and slime-making experience only.

Our standard setup includes our Slime Soirée banner and the items required to conduct the slime activity. Balloons, balloon garlands, backdrops, cake tables, plinths, personalised signage, florals and other event decorations or styling are not included unless specifically stated in the booking.

If additional styling or balloons are desired, please contact us. We are happy to recommend trusted external balloon and event-styling providers.

External styling services are separate from Slime Soirée and are arranged and paid for directly with the relevant provider unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6. Products, ingredients and safety

Slime Soirée uses reputable commercially supplied products and ingredients selected for their intended craft use. Depending on the activity, ingredients may include PVA craft glue (including Elmer’s products), washable paint, food colouring/dye, baking soda, contact lens solution, shaving cream, clay, foam beads, glitter, fragrance and decorative charms.

Although products are selected and used in accordance with their intended purpose and supplier instructions, individual sensitivities and allergies can occur. The client must notify Slime Soirée before the event of any known allergies, sensitivities, skin conditions or other relevant requirements affecting a participating child.

Slime is a craft product and is not edible. Children must not ingest slime or ingredients, place them in their eyes or mouth, or use them other than as directed by the host. Young children must be appropriately supervised.

Where practical, participants should wash their hands after the slime activity and before eating.

7. Parent and guardian supervision and behaviour

Slime Soirée hosts and guides the slime-making activity; however, we do not provide general childcare or assume parental responsibility for children attending the event.

A responsible adult nominated by the client must remain present and available throughout the party and is responsible for general supervision, behaviour management, bathroom visits, food service and children outside the slime activity.

The client must ensure that the venue and surrounding areas are reasonably safe and suitable for the activity. Running, climbing, rough play or unsafe behaviour around the slime station may result in a child being asked to pause or stop participating.

8. Accidents, injury and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Slime Soirée is not responsible for injury, loss or damage caused by matters outside our reasonable control, including a child running, falling, rough play, failure to follow instructions, undisclosed allergies or sensitivities, or unsafe conditions at a venue not controlled by Slime Soirée.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, statutory right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

9. Packing slime at the end of the party

At the conclusion of the slime-making session, children will be instructed to place their completed slimes into the containers provided and then place their slime containers into their designated take-home party bags.

Once the slime has been packed and the Slime Soirée session has concluded, responsibility for each child’s slime and party bag passes to the child’s parent, guardian or responsible adult.

Slime Soirée is not responsible for slime or party bags that are subsequently:

• Lost or misplaced
• Accidentally taken by another child
• Mixed up between guests
• Opened, spilled or dropped
• Mixed together or altered
• Improperly stored
• Damaged after the slime-making session has concluded

Parents and guardians are encouraged to ensure their child collects the correct party bag before leaving the event.

10. Slime care after the event

Once a slime has been handed to the participant or client and the session has ended, responsibility for storage, handling and use passes to the client, parent or guardian.

Slime is affected by temperature, air exposure, handling and storage. Slime Soirée is not responsible for slime drying out, becoming sticky, melting, changing texture, spilling, being dropped, being mixed with other substances, being lost or damaged, or being used incorrectly after it leaves our care.

The client is responsible for supervising slime use after the event and for keeping slime away from unsuitable surfaces, furnishings, carpets, hair, pets, food and very young children. Any storage or care instructions supplied should be followed.

11. Slime Soirée party bags

Our standard take-home presentation consists of a white Slime Soirée party bag featuring our branding, a Slime Soirée business card and a white satin ribbon.

The party bag is primarily provided to package and present the slime creations made during the experience. Additional lollies, toys, gifts, favours or other party-bag items are not included unless specifically agreed as part of the booking.

If you would like to add your own items to the Slime Soirée party bags, please contact us before the party date so this can be arranged. Where agreed in advance, client-supplied items can be placed into the bags before they are distributed to the children.

Slime Soirée is not responsible for client-supplied food, confectionery, toys, gifts or other items placed inside the party bags, including allergies, suitability, damage, loss or missing items associated with those externally supplied products.

12. Clothing, furniture, venue and property

While washable and child-friendly craft materials are used where practicable, Slime Soirée cannot guarantee that every ingredient, colouring, glitter or slime will wash out of every fabric, carpet, furnishing or surface.

The client is responsible for obtaining venue permission for slime activities and for providing a suitable table or work area. Slime Soirée is not responsible for pre-existing damage or damage caused by guests failing to follow instructions or by slime or materials after they have been handed to participants, except to the extent liability cannot be excluded by law.

13. Setup, access and timing

Our team arrives approximately 15 minutes before your booked session to set up the slime station. The session time you book is the time the slime activity begins.

Slime Soirée bookings run back to back, so we are not able to arrive earlier and wait, or attend at the start of a celebration and begin the slime activity a considerable time later. The confirmed session start time is the time our team commences the activity.

Please book the session that matches the point in your celebration at which you would like the slime making to take place.

The client must provide reasonable access to the venue and sufficient space for setup at the agreed time. Delays caused by late venue access, guests arriving late or circumstances outside Slime Soirée’s control may reduce the available activity time without reducing the booking price.

If additional time is requested and can be accommodated, additional charges may apply.

14. Photography and video consent

Photos and videos of children will only be used by Slime Soirée for marketing or advertising where the child’s parent or legal guardian has given consent. Consent is optional and is not a condition of booking.

Where consent is given, Slime Soirée may use approved photographs or video footage on its website, social media accounts, digital advertising and other promotional material. A parent or guardian may contact Slime Soirée to withdraw consent for future use; this will not necessarily affect material already lawfully published or distributed before the withdrawal was received.

The booking client must not give consent on behalf of another child unless legally authorised to do so. Slime Soirée may use a separate photo and video consent process for participating children.

15. Weather and outdoor events

For outdoor bookings, the client is responsible for providing a suitable covered or indoor alternative where weather may affect the activity. Slime Soirée may require relocation, postponement or cessation of an activity if rain, heat, wind or other conditions make the setup unsafe or unsuitable.

Any weather-related rescheduling is subject to availability and the cancellation and date-change terms above, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

16. Pricing and additional costs

The booking price is based on the selected package, confirmed guest numbers, location, travel requirements and any agreed add-ons. Travel fees or other agreed charges form part of the total booking price.

Requested changes to the package, guest numbers, location, duration or inclusions may change the final price. Any price change will be communicated before the additional service or cost is accepted.

17. Changes or cancellation by Slime Soirée

If Slime Soirée is unable to provide the booked service due to illness, emergency, unsafe conditions or circumstances outside our reasonable control, we will contact the client as soon as reasonably possible and work with the client on an appropriate solution, which may include rescheduling, a credit or refund where required by law.

Slime Soirée may refuse or stop an activity where continuing would be unsafe for children, staff, guests or property.

18. Australian Consumer Law

These Terms & Conditions are intended to operate alongside the Australian Consumer Law and other applicable laws. They do not exclude or restrict any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded. If any term is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

19. Acceptance of terms

By paying the deposit, paying an invoice, or otherwise confirming the booking after being provided with these Terms & Conditions, the client confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to them.
